Keeping it simple
Every aspect of the ABD HIPs service has been designed to make it easy to use because by doing so it will easier for you, as agents, to encourage sellers to commit. Time will be of the essence and you will want to secure the sellers agreement to instruct a HIP provider as soon as you are instructed on the sale because until the compulory HIP documents have been ordered marketing cannot commence.
The quicker you get the sellers commitment to the HIP, the quicker you can start marketing.
Our HIPs team are based in our new premises in Marlborough. They provide information and support to estate agents, sellers and prospective buyers.
You and the sellers can track progress of the HIP on our website.
Energy Assessors
We employ Energy Assessors to work exclusively in this area. Naturally we will work with your Assessor if you prefer.
With ABD you don't have to worry about finding your own Assessors or Home Inspector.
Timescale
We aim to produce Energy Performance Certificates within two working days of instruction.
Our aim is to complete most HIPs within 5 working days.
Communication
Our HIPs team will keep in close communication with you and the sellers. The team will keep you updated with information and regularly let you know the stage that each HIP has reached. Good communication will be an important factor in the HIP production process.
You will receive automatic email messages from the HIPs website.

Price
We charge from £299 inc VAT for a HIP. This is an all-inclusive figure. Click here to see our full price structure.
Payment
There is an option of no upfront payments.
Consumer Credit Agreements are not required as we fund the costs from our own resources.
Payment will be required upon the earlier of (a) completion of the sale (b) the property coming off the market, or (c) after 6 months. This period can be extended to 9 months if ABD are dealing with the conveyancing.
Branding
HIPs are available to be viewed online and paper copies are also available. The HIPs website can be access via our website and also via your website if you would like.
Each estate agent will have their own section of our HIPs website and your section can be branded in your corporate colours if you wish. We can deal with the website branding for you. Paper copies can also be in your branding if you prefer. If not, we will use Awdry Bailey & Douglas branding.
Easy to use
Sellers can order their HIP from us even if we are not instructed on the conveyancing.
You will not require any additional software.
We take the entire administrative burden from you.
